Residential Journeyman Electrician

Generator Service Technician

Metro Electric is currently hiring a Generator Service Technician for repair and service of Generac standby generators. Metro Electric will provide complete training of Generator electrical systems and functionality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Technicians are dispatched from our office to perform service on generators, and troubleshoot systems that are in need of repair. Candidate must effectively communicate with customer, in regards to the repair needs, cost of repairs, and timing.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Generac generator installation and repair experience

Our continually growing Commercial Division is currently looking for an Apprentice in their 3rd, 4th or 5th year of schooling/training to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Commercial installation
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical repair/replacement needs
  • Running and bending conduit, pulling wire, install lighting

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years electrical experience is a MUST

Customer Service Specialist

We understand what it takes to be a successful Customer Service Specialist and we appreciate the importance of this position at Metro Electric. Our Customer Service Specialists are most often the first impression our customers have of our company, so it’s important to us that we hire the best and provide the training and leadership to ensure their success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer Phones
  • Dispatch service calls to technicians
  • Enter/Update customer files in system, make follow up calls, ensure accurate notes, communicate with customers and technicians, prepare/track permits, filing, etc.
  • Make quick decisions based on customer’s needs and availability
  • Confidently make good decisions under time pressure
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and technicians providing concise instruction or information.
  • Use effective listening skills to collect required information from customers.
  • Help in all areas of the office as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior Customer Service Dispatching experience is preferred
  • Ability to multi-task is essential
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Service Titan Software experience is a plus (willing to train).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a must
  • The ability to work with a team or individually
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
