2025 Peach Festival Recap

A Rainy Start, a Beautiful Finish!
What a race! The 2025 Peach Festival 5K/10K was one to remember. We had 425 runners registered this year — our second-highest turnout since Metro took over organizing the event! Thank you to everyone who came out to run, walk, cheer, and support.

Though the day started off with a soaking rain during early check-in, the skies cleared just in time for the race. Runners were treated to cool, clear weather — perfect conditions for hitting the course.
We couldn’t have done it without our incredible Metro employees, who volunteered their time to help with check-in, direct runners, and provide some much-needed encouragement along the route. Your energy and dedication truly made the day run smoothly.
A special thank you goes out to the Romeo Police Department for keeping the course secure and ensuring a safe experience for all participants. Your support is essential and deeply appreciated.

We also want to take a moment to apologize to the few runners who did not receive a medal. As noted in registration, medals are available while supplies last, and this year we were unexpectedly 25 medals short due to the higher-than-anticipated turnout. We understand the disappointment and are already working on solutions for next year.
Thank you again to everyone who made this race possible — the runners, volunteers, Metro team, and local police. We can’t wait to see you all at the starting line in 2026!
